- 12 cup butter
- 14 cup sugar
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 12 cups sifted all-purpose flour
Directions

1Stir butter to soften; blend in sugar and salt.

2Add egg; mix well.

3Stir in sifted flour.

4Chill slightly.

5On floured surface, roll out in 12-inch circle.

6Using rolling pin to transfer dough, carefully place over outside of 9-inch round cake pan.

7(Shape dough to sides of pan almost to rim.

8Be sure there are no thin places, especially at corner.)

9Trim.

10Place pan, crust up, on cooky sheet.

11Bake at 450 for 8 to 10 minutes or till lightly browned.

12Cool few minutes; while slightly warm, transfer crust to plate.
