- 1 cup warm buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- Melted butter
Directions
