- 1 1/2 lb. stew meat, cut into cubes
- 2 c. cooking oil
- 1 can mushroom gravy
- 1 c. tomato juice
- 1/2 envelope onion soup mix
- 1 c. water
- 4 or 5 potatoes, quartered
Directions

1Brown stew meat in cooking oil.

2Drain grease.

3Add mushroom gravy, tomato juice, soup mix, and water.

4Cover and let simmer about 15 minutes.

5Put potatoes in a casserole dish and cover with meat mixture. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is well cooked.

6Stir once or twice during cooking.
