  • 3 lb. bottom round or rump
  • salt and pepper
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 4 large onions
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 c. beef bouillon
  • 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 pieces parsley and celery leaves tied together

    Dust beef and brown in oil.

    Take meat out

    in onions and garlic and brown lightly.

    Replace meat and add all ingredients.
