- 4 c. plain flour
- 3 to 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 4 heaping Tbsp. Crisco
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together.

2Add Crisco to flour with pastry blender until it looks like coarse meal.

3Make a well in the flour and pour in the water.

4Stir until it can be turned out on floured board.

5Knead 10 times.

6Roll and cut out.

7Dip in melted oleo and put in pans.

8Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate or freeze.

9Let rise until double.
-
10Bake at 425° for about 15 minutes.
