Ingredients
- 1 tsp. plus 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 pkg. dry active yeast
- 1 c. warm milk
- 1 egg, beaten (warm temperature)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. flour
- vegetable oil
Directions

1Stir 1 teaspoon sugar and yeast into 1/4 cup tepid water.

2Let stand 5 minutes.

3Put butter into warm milk and let melt.

4Mix milk, butter, remaining sugar, egg and salt in large bowl.

5Stir in yeast mixture and 3 1/2 cups flour.

6Let rest 5 minutes.

7Knead dough with as much remaining flour as needed.

8Return to bowl and let rise.

9Grease 12 cup muffin tins.

10Punch down.
-
11Pinch off pieces and roll into balls.

12Place 2 balls in each cup.

13Let rise. Bake 30 minutes.
