- 3 lbs bone in ham
- 12 cup root beer
- 1 cup root beer
- 12 cup ketchup
- 12 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 lemon, zest of
- 1 lemon, juice of
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 15 whole cloves
Directions

1preheat oven to 250

2line a roasting pan with foil and place ham fat side down.

3add 1/2 cup root beer to pan.

4let sit 30 minutes.

5tent ham loosely with foil and bake 3 hours.

6remove ham from oven and increase heat to 325.

7pour off ham juice and remove excess fat.

8score ham in a diamond pattern.

9combine 1 cup root beer, ketchup, brown sugar, zest and juice of lemon and mustard in a saucepan and simmer about ten minutes.

10brush a thin layer of glaz over ham.

11insert whole cloves into cuts.

12bake ham 1 more hour.

13combine pan juices and remaining glaze and pour sauce over carved ham.
