- 1 onion
- salt and pepper
- 4 round steaks (1/2 lb. each)
- 1/4 tsp. rosemary
- 1/2 dill pickle
- 2 oz. salt pork
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 tsp. marjoram
- 2 c. beef broth
- 1 c. tomato puree
- 1 c. red wine
Directions

1Dice onion.

2Salt and pepper the steaks.

3Add rosemary and sprinkle half the diced onion on steaks along with half of dill pickle, cut in 4 long slices.

4Roll steaks, using toothpicks to hold them together.

5Heat 2 tablespoons shortening in skillet and brown steaks on both sides.

6Remove steaks and place in casserole.
