Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
  • 1 tsp. grated orange rind
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (2-inch) stick cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. powdered cloves
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. orange juice
  • 1/4 c. canned pineapple juice
  • 3 c. boiling water
  • 1/4 c. tea leaves

    Combine first 6 ingredients; boil 10 minutes.

    Remove cinnamon.

    Add fruit juices, and place over low heat.

    Pour the boiling water over tea; let stand (steep) 10 minutes or until of strength desired.

    Strain into fruit juices.

    Serve piping hot. Makes about 5 to 6 servings.
