  • 12 Tbsp. butter
  • 5 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. very finely chopped walnuts
  • 2 Tbsp. ice water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. powdered sugar (place sugar in paper bag and reserve for garnish)

    Cream butter; add next five ingredients and

    cream well. Chill.

    Shape into walnut size balls.

    Bake in slow 300° oven for 30 minutes.

    Remove from cookie sheet.

    Place 2 to 3 at a time in bag of sugar; shake ever so gently.

    Cool on rack.
