- BOTTOM LAYER
- 1 1 cup Oreo cookies or 1 cup chocolate wafer cookie
- 3 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- BROWNIE LAYER
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 pinch salt
- GRAHAM CRACKER LAYER
- 1 cup finely chopped graham cracker
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- TOPPING
- 2 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1 cup coarsely chopped milk chocolate candy bar (two to three 10 to 12 ounce bars)
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2Grease an 8 inch square pan or a 7 by 11 inch pan and line it with parchment paper.

3Leave an overhang with which to lift the brownies.

4Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

5For the bottom layer, combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and stir to blend.

6Press the mixture into the prepared pan.

7Chill for 10 minutes.

8For the brownie layer, melt the butter in a small saucepan.

9Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate to melt.

10Stir in the sugar.

11Let cool just to warm, then whisk in the eggs, vanilla, flour, and salt.

12Spread over the bottom layer in the pan.

13For the graham cracker layer, toss the chopped graham crackers with the melted butter in a small bowl and distribute over the batter.

14Place the pan on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 22 to 24 minutes, or until set.

15Remove from the oven and preheat the broiler.

16For the topping, sprinkle the top of the brownies with the marshmallows.

17Place under the broiler until the marshmallows start to melt and brown.

18(20 to 60 seconds).

19Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the chopped chocolate.

20If desired, smear the chocolate with a knife as it melts.

21Let cool to room temp and then refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes before cutting.
