  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 large onions sliced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp saffron
  • 1/8 tsp cayene pepper
  • 1 chicken cut up
  • 1/2 cup blanced almonds
  • 1/2 cup golden raisins
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

Directions

    Saute onions in olive oil and butter. Add spices. Now add chicken and stir to coat chicken. Cover and simmer for one and a half to 2 hours.

    Remove chicken. Cook onion sauce over a high heat until thickened. Stir in almonds raisins and lemon juice. Serve sauce over chicken. Rice goes well as a side
