- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 slices bacon
- 1/3 c. water
- 1/4 c. Burgundy or other dry wine (optional)
- garlic
- 1/4 tsp. marjoram leaves, crushed
- 1 can mushrooms, slices and pieces
Directions

1Mix 1/3 cup soup, beef, crumbs, eggs and salt.

2Shape into 6 oval patties.

3Cook bacon until crisp.

4Remove and set aside. Brown patties in bacon drippings.

5Mix together remaining ingredients.

6Pour over patties.

7Cover and simmer 25 minutes. Serve over noodles.

8Garnish with bacon.
