Ingredients

  • 2 (16 oz.) cans whole tomatoes (we prefer Libby's diced tomatoes; do not use stewed tomatoes unless you like a sweeter tasting salsa)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 Japanese red pepper
  • 2 to 4 Tbsp. fresh cilantro or 1 Tbsp. dried
  • 1 bunch chopped green onions
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • salt to taste

Directions

    Drain juice from tomatoes into blender.

    Add garlic, red pepper, cilantro, cumin and salt.

    Blend on high until well blended.

    Add tomatoes and green onions.
  5. 5
    Blend gently for 1 to 2 seconds or stir with spoon for chunky salsa.

    Add more or less of any of the spices to fit your taste.
