Ingredients

  • 24 large ripe tomatoes
  • 1/2 lb. jalapeno peppers
  • 4 big onions
  • 5 garlic buttons
  • 4 green peppers
  • 1/4 c. canning salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice

Directions

    Blanch tomatoes in hot water and peel.

    Wash peppers; peel onions and garlic.
  3. 3
    Dice tomatoes; chop onions, peppers and garlic.

    Mix all ingredients together and boil until thick (20 to 30 minutes).

    Put in sterilized jars and seal.

    Process in hot water bath 10 to 15 minutes.

    (Best to wear rubber gloves when handling peppers.)
