- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 4 c. sifted flour
- 2 egg yolks, beaten with 1 Tbsp. cold water (glaze)
- 1 c. finely chopped walnuts
Directions

1Beat butter, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.

2Work in flour, about a cup at a time to make very stiff dough.

3Pat into ball; wrap with aluminum foil or plastic wrap and chill overnight. Roll dough, about 1/4 at a time, as thin as possible.

4Cut into rounds with cookie cutter or fancy shapes.

5Place on lightly greased cookie sheets.

6Brush tops with egg yolk glaze.

7Sprinkle with nuts.

8Bake in 350° oven 10 to 12 minutes.
