  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 c. nuts

    Cream margarine

    add water and vanilla and mix well.

    Add flour and nuts; chill 3 or 4 hours.

    Shape into balls or fingers.

    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in slow oven at 325° about 20 minutes.

    Cool slightly.

    Roll in confectioners sugar. Makes 5 dozen.
