  • 1 lb. chopped dates, rolled in sugar
  • 1 lb. candied pineapple, sliced in 1/8ths
  • 1 lb. Brazil nuts
  • 1 lb. candied whole cherries (red and green)
  • 1 lb. pecans
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs

Directions

    Sprinkle dates, pineapple, nuts and cherries with 1/4 cup flour.

    Beat eggs; add sugar.

    Sift 1 1/4 cups flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg together.

    Add to sugar mixture. Fold in fruit and pack in well-greased and paper-lined tube pan. Bake at 300° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
