Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread, cubed
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 to 3/4 lb. sausage or ham
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. - 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 c. milk (for soup)

Directions

    Place cubed bread in bottom of grease 8 x 8-inch baking dish and top with cheese.

    Brown sausage and drain.

    Place on top of cheese.

    Beat eggs with milk and mustard, pour over sausage mixture.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Next day dilute soup with milk and pour over top.

    Bake uncovered for 1 1/2 hours at 300°.
