- 5 to 6 medium to large green, red, or yellow bell peppers or a combination, cut into long strips
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, optional
- Pinch of salt

1Heat the oil in a wide skillet.

2Add the peppers, cover, and cook over low heat, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3Uncover and saute, stirring frequently, until the peppers are tender and lightly browned, 15 to 20 minutes.
