- 1 loaf unsliced French bread
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1/2 Bermuda or 4 spring onions, chopped fine
- 2 tsp. poppy seed
- 3 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1/3 lb. white or yellow American cheese
- 4 or more slices bacon
Directions

1Cut bread diagonally, almost through the loaf, about 1/2-inch slices.

2Mix butter, chopped onions, poppy seeds and prepared mustard.

3Spread all but 2 tablespoons of mixture between bread slices.

4Place cheese between each slice.

5Spread outside of loaf with remaining butter mixture.

6Press loaf together; arrange bacon slices on top of loaf.

7Place in shallow pan or cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.
