- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. thinned sliced onions
- 4 c. peeled, sliced turnips
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- pepper
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. light cream
Directions

1Butter a one-quart casserole.

2Layer 1/3 turnips, top with 1/3 onion, sprinkle with 2 teaspoons flour and 1/3 teaspoon salt, pepper and 1 tablespoon butter.

3Repeat this layering twice. Combine milk and cream and pour over turnips.

4Cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

5Remove cover and bake for another 30 to 45 minutes or until tender and bubbly.
