  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup lard
  • 5 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 dash anise
  • 4 drops anise extract

    Preheat the oven to 205 Celsius.

    Cream the eggs with the sugar until the sugar dissolves. Add the lard and beat well. Stir in the anise and anise extract.

    Add the flour, little by little, beating constantly until a smooth dough is formed. Set aside for 1 hour.

    Divide the dough into portions roughly the size of a mandarin orange and form into rings. Place onto parchment paper.

    Bake for 15 minutes and cool on a baking rack.
