Ingredients

  • 1 c. finely diced celery
  • 1 c. grated carrots
  • 4 oz. finely diced onion
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 packets instant chicken broth and seasoning mix
  • 6 slices whole wheat bread, made into crumbs
  • 3/4 c. evaporated skim milk
  • 2 Tbsp. imitation or diet margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. toasted sesame seed
  • 1/2 tsp. sage
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder

Directions

    Combine first 5 ingredients in a nonstick skillet.

    Cook until onions are transparent.

    Transfer vegetables to a mixing bowl and add remaining ingredients.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Spoon into a 1-quart casserole which has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
