Seven Minute Icing

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. white corn syrup
  • 5 Tbsp. water
  • 2 egg whites
  • handful of marshmallows

Directions

    Put all ingredients, except vanilla, in top of double boiler over boiling water.

    Beat with rotary beater for 7 minutes or with an electric beater for 4 minutes or until icing is stiff enough to stand in peaks.

    Put in marshmallows and melt them.

    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
