- 1 large yellow onion, peeled and finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp. beef or bacon drippings or cooking oil
- 1 1/4 lb. ground chuck
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch mixed with 2 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. steak sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 c. hot seasoned potatoes
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Saute onion and green pepper in drippings in a large skillet over moderate heat for 10 minutes, or until onion is golden.

3Add beef and saute, breaking meat up with a spoon about ten minutes until lightly browned, drain off fat as it accumulates.
