- 4 c. flour
- 2 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. molasses
- 2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Combine flour, sugar and butter.

2Work into fine crumbs. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of crumbs for topping.

3Add rest of ingredients; beat well until mixture is very thin.

4Pour into an 8 x 12-inch greased and floured pan.

5Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups crumbs on top.

6Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
