  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 (1 lb. 2 oz.) can whole tomatoes, diced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 2 envelopes spaghetti sauce mix
  • 2 cans (12 oz. each) V-8 juice
  • 1 (1 lb.) pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1 (12 oz.) carton cottage cheese
  • 1 pkg. Mozzarella cheese

Directions

    Heat oil in large skillet.

    Add meat and brown.

    Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce mix and V-8 juice.

    Bring to boil; lower heat and simmer 10 minutes.

    Cover bottom oiled 13 x 9 x 2-inch (3-quart) casserole dish with thin layer meat sauce.

    Then add layer each uncooked noodles, cottage cheese and Mozzarella.

    Repeat layers, ending with meat sauce.

    Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
