- 2 lb. raw sweet potatoes
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. pineapple juice
Directions

1Shred yams in a gallon of water.

2Add 1 tablespoon of salt. Drain and wash well.

3Put in glass baking dish that is 12 x 6 x 3-inches.

4Mix sugar, syrup and water and cook until a simple syrup has been formed.

5Add margarine.

6Pour pineapple juice over shredded yams, then the syrup mixture.

7Bake at 350° for 35 minutes, or until they are transparent in color.
