  • 32 ounces greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups fruit apples, mangos, champagne grapes, or pomegranate
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder green
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts almonds or pistachios
  • saffron optional

Directions

    Line a colander with a napkin or a cheesecloth. Place the yogurt in the colander at room temperature and let it hang for at least an hour (or in the fridge for at least 3 hours). This allows the water to seep out of the yogurt ensuring you a thick shrikhand.

    Transfer the yogurt to a bowl and mix in the remaining ingredients. Cool the shrikhand for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator.

    Serve cold and garnish with extra chopped nuts.
