- 2 (20 oz.) cans tomatoes
- 2 small onions, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 pinch chili powder
- dash of Tabasco
- 2 Tbsp. sugar (about)
- 1 bay leaf
- dash of cayenne pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
- 5 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. water
- 1 can tomato puree
- 2 lb. shrimp
- 1 lemon (peel and all)
Directions

1Saute vegetables in butter.

2Add other ingredients, except shrimp and lemon; simmer 2 hours.

3Add shrimp during the last 30 minutes and put in whole lemon the last 10 minutes.

4Serve with rice and lemon juice.
