- 4 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- pepper to taste
- 1/4 c. chopped celery
- 1/4 c. chopped green peppers
- 3 c. water
- 3 lb. boiled and cleaned shrimp
- hot cooked rice
Directions

1Pour olive oil in heavy saucepan. Stir in celery, onion and green pepper. Cook until tender. Add garlic and pepper to taste. In a bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, water and whole tomatoes.

2Cut shrimp into 1/2-inch pieces and blend into tomato mixture. Add to the onion, green pepper and celery mixture.

3Cook slowly for 3 to 4 hours or place in slow cooker.

4Serve over hot rice.
