  • 1 1/2 lb. raw shrimp
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 2/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 4 to 5 drops Tabasco sauce (or more if you like it hot)
  • salt to taste
  • cooked white rice

Directions

    Peel and devein shrimp.

    Cook onions and pepper in butter until almost tender.

    Add celery and cook a little longer.

    Add water and tomato paste; simmer.

    Add shrimp and cook until done (about 5 minutes).

    Serve over white rice.
