  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Creole seasoning
  • 1 pound peeled large raw shrimp (21/25 count)
  • Hot cooked rice

Directions

    Saute onion, green bell pepper, and celery in hot olive oil in a large nonstick skillet 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in Basic Tomato Sauce, water, and Creole seasoning. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in shrimp. Cover and simmer 5 to 6 minutes or just until shrimp turn pink. Serve over hot cooked rice.
