- 1 cup chopped onion
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 12 cup chopped celery
- 12 cup chopped bell pepper
- 13 cup butter
- 12 cup vegetable oil
- 12 cup flour
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 12 tablespoons lemon juice
- 0.5 (6 ounce) a can tomato paste
- 1 (10 ounce) candiced tomatoes and green chilies
- 1 12 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined
- salt and pepper
- hot sauce
Directions

1Saute onion, celery, garlic,and bell pepper in butter until onion is translucent.

2In heavy skillet, make a roux from oil and flour.

3Cook over medium heat until golden brown.

4Stir in sauteed vegetables, bay leaf, lemon juice, tomatoe paste, tomatoes, Worcestershire and shrimp.

5Add water just to cover mixture.

6Cook over medium heat untl shrimp are pink and tender; strirring occasionally.
