  • 2 envelopes plain Knox gelatine
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1 c. tomato soup
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 6 drops Tabasco sauce or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped celery
  • 2 c. (1 1/2 to 2 lb.) finely chopped cooked shrimp

Directions

    Mix Knox gelatine with cold water.

    Bring tomato soup, undiluted, to boiling.

    Stir in gelatine until dissolved.

    Cook 1 to 2 minutes.

    In bowl, mix together the cream cheese, mayonnaise, Tabasco and garlic salt.

    Add tomato mixture to this, blending well.

    Mix in chopped onion, celery and shrimp.

    Spoon into a 6-cup mold and chill.

    Serve surrounded by crackers.
