Shrimp Stroganoff

  • 1 lb. raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 md. onions, minced
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1 clove garlic, mashed
  • 1 can (4 oz.) button mushrooms, drained
  • 1 can (10-3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup.
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chives, chopped for garnish
  • Hot cooked rice

Directions

    Saute the onions in the butter until brown.

    Add the shrimp and cook until just pink.

    Stir in the flour and stir well.

    Add the salt, garlic, pepper flakes, mushrooms and the mushroom soup; simmer for about 15-20 minutes.

    Stir in the sour cream before serving.

    Serve over the cooked rice and garnish with the chives.
