  • 3 Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Tablespoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 2 pounds Boneless Pork Shoulder Roast
  • 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil

Directions

    Combine all of the spices together in a small bowl.

    Pat meat dry with paper towels, then rub the spice mix all over.

    Keep leftover spice mix aside for later.

    Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    Sear pork on all sides for about 1-2 minutes per side.

    Transfer pork to slow cooker and sprinkle remaining spice mix over the top.

    Cook on low for 6-10 hours.

    After pork has cooked, remove from slow cooker and cut into small pieces or shred with 2 forks.
