- 3 1/2 cups quick-cooking, not instant, oatmeal
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 300F.

2with the rack in the highest position.

3Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and spread on a cookie sheet or on a shallow roasting pan.

4(Do in 2 batches if your pan is too small.)

5Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, just until the mixture starts to smell good.

6Take care not to bum it.

7Cool completely.

8Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
