- 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 cup self raising flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or 1/2 teaspoon almond essence
Directions

1Melt the butter.

2Put all the other ingredients into a large bowl and pour the melted butter on top on them.

3Beat on high for 3 minutes only.

4Pour the mixture into a prepared cake tin and bake in a moderate oven.

5The baking time will depend on the size and shape of your cake tin.

6Be careful not to overcook this cake and it will be deliciously moist and fresh days after it is baked.

7Ice with your favourite chocolate icing/frosting or top with fresh or mock cream sweetened and flavoured with vanilla or rum, and cover with grated chocolate or nuts.
