  • 1 lb. sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme, crushed
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 c. dry red wine
  • 1 (14 oz.) can Del Monte original style stewed tomatoes (no salt added)
  • 1 (17 oz.) can Del Monte whole kernel golden sweet corn (no salt added), drained
  • 1 c. cooked rice

Directions

    In skillet, brown meat, onion and thyme in oil. Season with pepper, if desired.

    Stir in wine.

    Bring to a boil.

    Simmer, uncovered, over medium heat, about 7 minutes or until liquid is gone. Add tomatoes. Reduce heat.

    Cover and cook 15 minutes or until meat is tender. Uncover and cook 5 minutes more. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired.
