  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce plus
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 3 c. broad noodles (raw)
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed (with juices)
  • 1 c. creamed cottage cheese
  • 2 oz. Mozzarella cheese, diced

Directions

    Brown beef and onion in a large frypan until onion is soft. Spoon off fat.

    Add tomato sauce, water, salt and spices.

    Bring to a boil.

    Add noodles.

    Cover and boil gently for 5 minutes. Break up the thawed spinach into small pieces.

    Stir into frypan mixture.

    Cover and boil gently 5 minutes.

    Stir.

    Spoon cottage cheese on top.

    Sprinkle with diced cheese.
