Slam Dunk Pulled Pork

Ingredients

  • 5 lb Pork Loin
  • 1 can 7-up
  • 1/2 cup Molasses
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 12 oz Tomato paste
  • 12 oz Tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp Liquid Smoke
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder or 2 fresh minced cloves
  • 2 tsp Onion powder
  • 6 Stalks of chopped green onion

    Important: If you're using a small 3 qt crock pot like me, use a smaller portion of meat.

    Season your meat with 1 tsp of all the dry ingredients and place it in the pot instead.

    You also will only be able to use 6-8 oz of soda, 6 oz of both tomato sauce and paste and 1/4 oz of brown sugar and molasses.

    All others can follow the recipe as listed, but instead use minced garlic.

    Mix all of the ingredients and pour over over the meat.

    Top with chopped green onions.

    Let simmer on low for 6-8 hrs.

    When done, shred the pork while in the pot.

    Serve over toasted buns, or in this case over french fries, topped with chesse, sour cream and onions or green onions!
