Smoked Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 baby back rib racks
  • 1 cup butter
  • 12 quart vinegar
  • 12 cup lemon juice
  • 1 (12 ounce) bottle marinade (Such as Dales, Moore's, or Allegro, Allegro is the best)
  • 14 cup your favorite barbecue rub
  • 10 -12 hickory wood chunks
  • 1 quart water or 1 quart apple juice or 1 quart beer
  • barbecue sauce

    Prepare smoker.

    Combine butter, vinegar, lemon juice, and marinade in a large pot.

    Bring to a boil on the stove.
  4. 4
    Drop racks of ribs into the mixture and cook until they turn brown (usually 5-10 minutes).

    Remove and let cool for 5-10 minutes.

    Rub ribs with barb-que rub of choice.

    Pour water, apple juice or beer into the water-pan.

    Put a large handful of wood chunks on-top of charcoal.

    Cook ribs for 3 1/2 hours rotating them once during those 3 1/2 hours.

    After 3 1/2 hours, put on bar-b-que sauce and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
