- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/3 c. milk
- 3/4 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped peanuts
Directions

1Prepare cake mix as directed on package.

2Pour half the batter into a 9 x 13-inch pan.

3Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

4Melt caramels and margarine over low heat.

5Pour over baked cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.

6Spoon the rest of the cake batter over caramel layer.

7Bake at 250° for 20 minutes. Increase temperature to 350° and bake 10 minutes.
