- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups whole milk
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Directions

1Whisk together the sugar, milk and egg yolks and cook in a double boiler over simmering water until the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes, stirring frequently.

2Remove from heat and add vanilla, cream and cinnamon.

3Refrigerate until cool, and then freeze in an ice cream machine according to manufacturer's directions and then freeze until firm in the freezer.
