Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 34 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon

Directions

    Cream together butter and margarine.

    Add 1 1/2 c sugar and cream until fluffy.

    Add eggs and mix well.

    Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.

    Add to creamed mixture.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Mix 2 T sugar and cinnamon in a flat bowl or saucer.

    Roll dough into walnut size balls.

    Roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture.

    Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes on cookie sheet that's been greased or covered with parchment paper.

    Let stand a minute before removing from cookie sheet to a cooling rack.
