Snow Ball Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 envelopes Knox gelatine
  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 (9 oz.) carton Cool Whip
  • 1 (4 oz.) carton Cool Whip
  • 1 large angel food cake

Directions

    Dissolve gelatine in 4 tablespoons cold water.

    Add 1 cup boiling water, pineapple juice, sugar, salt and lemon juice. Refrigerate until partially set (1/2 hour at least).

    Remove and add 1 large cake, torn in 1 1/2 x 2-inch pieces.

    Line a colander with Saran Wrap (over the holes).

    Then layer cake, gelatine, etc. until all is used, leaving cake as the last layer.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    Invert in plate and ice with small Cool Whip.
