  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 large pkg. dates
  • 5 to 6 c. Rice Krispies

Directions

    Let the first 4 ingredients cook over low heat in heavy bottom container until smooth, or until dates have dissolved.

    Remove from heat.

    Add 5 or 6 cups of Rice Krispies.

    After they are mixed well, spread out in large pan.

    Press down; sprinkle with coconut.

    While still warm, cut into small squares.
