- 1/2 c. butter flavor Crisco
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Cream Crisco, sugars, egg and vanilla in large bowl.

3Combine flour, salt and soda.

4Blend into creamed mixture.

5Blend in 1 tablespoon water.

6Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by level spoonful 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 7 to 8 minutes.

7Cool on baking sheet 1 minute. Remove from sheets and let cool.

8Makes about 3 dozen.
